Common

Karl Johansskolan was designed by the famous architect Gunnar Asplund. The school was completed in 1925. The school was very carefully renovated after a big fire in 1990 and is certainly one of the most beautiful school buildings in Sweden. We have a lot of visitors, studying Architecture, coming from all the world. The background of this page is our logo. In reality itīs a waterfountain. The school is situated in Majorna, an administrative district of the city of Gothenburg.
In our school there are pupils from year zero (aged 6) to year nine (aged 16). Futhermore there are leisure activities for the younger pupils. Koopmansskolanīs building is connected to our school. This school, 50 years older than Karl Johansskolan, has recently been renovated. Our Sience institutions and Year 4-9 are located here. Between Karl Johansskolan and Koopmansskolan we have premises for Physical Education and Library.
At walking distance from Karl Johansskolan you will find Djurgårdsskolan and the dining hall.

Do you want to see a little movie from the school?

Computers

We have computers in most of our classrooms (one or maybe two in each classroom). We also have a room with 15 computers. We have altogether about 100 computers.
